Dr Grant Ralston
Mark is a Co-founding Trustee of the Fair Play Foundation and fulfils the role of the Foundation’s Chief Executive. Mark previously worked for Supporters Direct Scotland as Project Manager before which he worked at Celtic FC as a Senior Football Development Officer. In that role he oversaw Celtic’s UK wide grassroots football programmes and separately coached within the Celtic Academy. Mark has experience co-ordinating and delivering a range of community development and health related projects in addition to Football development programmes around the world in India, Australia, USA, Canada, Ireland, Kuwait.
In addition to being Vice Chair of the Foundation, Hope was a competitive swimmer in the Scottish Para team from 2010-2018, She won medals at National, British and International level. In 2018 Hope started kayaking and after only a couple of months in the sport she was selected to train full time with the British team and relocated to Nottingham in September 2018. Hope is training hard to take her sport as far as possible and hopefully succeed at the highest level. In 2018 Hope graduated from Edinburgh Napier University with a BSc in Sport and Exercise Science. Hope competed the 2022 Winter Paralympics becoming Great Britain's first ever female para Nordic skier, furthermore Hope is a World gold medallist and three-time silver medallist in paracanoe. She is very passionate about the physical and psychological benefits of taking part in sport, and also the importance of inclusion in sport at both a recreational and elite level.
Grant is Chair and a co-founding trustee of the Foundation and was previously a senior lecturer at Forth Valley College where he delivered a wide range of sport and fitness orientated courses. He graduated with a BSC (Hons) in Sports Studies with Sports development in 2008 from the University of Paisley and completed an MSc Strength and Conditioning Physiology in 2012 from the University of Edinburgh. He gained his PGCE in teaching from the University of Stirling (2015). Grant completed his PhD in the field of exercise science with a series of internationally recognised research publications in exercise physiology in 2019.
Grant has previously worked within sports and community development for several years in the areas of football coaching and swimming. Also, Grant is a keen cyclist and endurance runner with a passion for promoting physical wellness.
Panashe Muzambe
Colin Flinn
Panashe Joined the Fair Play Foundation in 2021 and not only has a back ground in elite level sports but also has a Masters Degree in Sport and Exercise Science from Edinburgh University. Panashe has a passion for Rugby and Basketball and has previously sat on the Sport Scotland Young Persons Sports Panel and was the first Black Female rugby player to represent Scotland at senior international level.
Colin began his social work career in 1980 with Lothian Regional Council before moving to England to work with Barnardo’s, then NCH as their Children’s Rights Officer – the first such post in the UK. In 1994 he was appointed as Assistant Director of Children’s services with NCH Scotland and following a spell as its Acting Deputy Director of Children’s Services he became their Head of Fundraising and Marketing (Scotland and Northern Ireland) prior to moving to veterans’ charity, Poppyscotland as their Head of Fundraising. Colin joined RCET – Scotland’s Armed Forces Children’s Charity, as its Chief Executive in June 2016.
