The Fair Play Foundation is delighted to announce that the preregistration for the Active8 programme is now open and taking bookings. The free health activity programme will be run out of at Forth Valley College, Falkirk over the course of 12 weeks from mid-September to November.
The programme is open to all adults aged sixteen and upwards who are not currently participating in regular exercise or activity on a weekly basis, could be clinically diagnosed as overweight or obese and resides within the Forth Valley area.
Unlike traditional health and well-being programmes where individuals are prescribed predetermined activity schedules, the individuals themselves within the Active8 groups will determine which activities they want to do over the course of the 12 week programme.
We want to give you the chance to try new activities and sports at an introductory level to find something that can give you that sense of enjoyment while knowing you are working towards creating a better and more active lifestyle for yourself while being supported by a group of like-minded people to help you improve your own quality of life. Participants in the programme will be provided with a knowledge base that will help in relation not only exercise but also with their day to day dietary and lifestyle choices going forward.
If this appeals to you and you are interested in getting involved in our new, fun and exciting programme where you determine your own activities with people in similar situations like you then please click on the link below to preregister and one of our Foundation staff will be in contact to finalise your registration.
